Training as a pediatric nurse, Tina knows to expect the unexpected. But when she finds herself hooking up with the sexy man who's come in with a woman giving birth.

Horrified with herself for hooking up with a man whose wife is giving birth down the hall, Tina tries to forget the whole incident - until she runs into the same man in the hallway a few months later, who turns out to be Ryan Wilson, a billionaire donating ten million dollars to the hospital after the great treatment his sister received while giving birth.

When he asks her out, Tina agrees - but when she's unable to come to grips with Ryan's lifestyle, Tina considers breaking things off. Will she stay with the man she's undeniably attracted to, or will Tina make a mistake she'll regret for the rest of her life?

This 45,000 word book is the full novel version of Miscommunication, Misdirection and Miscarried by Lila Lacroix.

My Review

This book was okay…

I have a hard time reading books that “tell” the story rather than “show” it to the reader. There was so much telling in this book, it caused the story to be rushed in places. Fleshed out, this little book could easily have been a trilogy of full-length novels. I did feel, as the story got closer to the end, that more “showing” was being done.

This author has great story ideas, but is in need of a good editor to help push her to the next level in her writing. Along with the rushed telling, there were a lot of misused words, words left out, and other errors that made this read like a first draft. Keep writing, Lila Lacroix, but get yourself a good backup team to make your work shine.
