Synopsis

My Review

Second chance for the hot alpha male and the very-rare alpha female makes sparks!

This is my second read of this second-chance romantic suspense novel, and this time I read it out loud to my hubby. This book is by far my favorite of the Guardians series because, well…VIKTOR. He is tall, stubborn, insanely good looking, stubborn, set in his ways, stubborn, and a blond hero, which isn’t found much these days. Marissa is equally stubborn and still hurting from her first chance with Viktor eight years ago. Mix these two with explosive action, other favorite Guardians series characters, and steamy, hot sex, and you get a fantastic, thrilling suspense story with a healthy, heaping serving of romantica.

I’m so sad hubby and I are nearing the end of our adventure through the Guardians series. There’s an extended epilogue for Smoke and Shadows which is up next for us, but is only four chapters. Sigh. I’m going to miss these characters HARD. After that, we’ll be diving into the other three books in the Victoria Paige library, and we’ll come back again when she writes something new. 🙂 Keep writing, Vee, and we’ll keep on reading!
