Synopsis

Almost 2 million people have read the New York Times bestseller Wonder and fallen in love with Auggie Pullman. Readers have also been given a special look at another side of his story with The Julian Chapter and a peek at his life before Beecher Prep in Pluto. In this third Wonder Story, they’ll get to see his first year of school and what follows in the beginning of the next year through the perspective of reader-favorite Charlotte.

My Review

Best of the Wonder singles!

I loved this book! I read it out loud to my hubby, tween daughter, and teen son. We all enjoyed seeing into the mind of a middle-school girl. She was “everygirl,” but especially kind.

This book had its own storyline, with a couple of side stories, and also wrapped up some things left open in Wonder, and showed things that happened before with new eyes. Be certain to read all of the Palacio books in order to get the best effect. Expect to feel wonderful and have new insight into bullies and the bullied, boys and girls, and the grownups who love them.

I’ll be watching for more from this spectacular author! I read this and the other two Wonder singles in the hardcover book, Auggie & Me. Highly recommended for everyone eight and over!

About RJ Palacio

R. J. PALACIO lives in NYC with her husband, two sons, and two dogs. For more than twenty years, she was an art director and graphic designer, designing book jackets for other people while waiting for the perfect time in her life to start writing her own novel. But one day several years ago, a chance encounter with an extraordinary child in front of an ice cream store made R. J. realize that the perfect time to write that novel had finally come. Wonder is her first novel. She did not design the cover, but she sure does love it.
