Synopsis

This whole grim reaper thing should have come with a manual.
Or a diagram of some kind.
A flow chart would have been nice.
Charley Davidson is a part-time private investigator and full-time grim reaper. Meaning, she sees dead people. Really. And it's her job to convince them to "go into the light." But when these very dead people have died under less than ideal circumstances (like murder), sometimes they want Charley to bring the bad guys to justice. Complicating matters are the intensely hot dreams she's been having about an entity who has been following her all her life...and it turns out he might not be dead after all. In fact, he might be something else entirely. But what does he want with Charley? And why can't she seem to resist him? And what does she have to lose by giving in?

With scorching-hot tension and high-octane humor, First Grave on the Right is your signpost to paranormal suspense of the highest order.

Where have I been?

I read so many books, so how did I miss this series completely until the release of the 13th and final book in the series?

I LOVE Charley Davidson! I l LOVE Reyes! I have a feeling I’m going to LOVE every book in this series, which I am going to binge read, as I have gotten every single one (except the last one, oops, missed downloading it because of illness) from NetGalley the whole ghostly thing. It had me in its grip from the first page, laughing, grabbing me in the gut, and making me love the characters, from the hero and heroine to the many lovable side characters like Uncle Bob AKA Ubie.

I’ve never read anything quite like this. I looked forward to what quote or short funny I might find at the beginning of each chapter. This has mystery with a brushstroke of romance, some horror and ghosts mixed in, and the grim reaper is a chick. Who knew? I cannot wait to jump straight into book two. I can see I’m in for an amazing ride.
