My Review

Original post of April 18, 2015:

You want everything? This book has everything.

Victoria Paige is truly the author of smut for smart girls. I already consider myself pretty smart, but I had to look up 10 words while reading this book. I love words, and want to personally thank the author for expanding my vocabulary (and for Kindle Paperwhite for adding the Vocabulary Builder function).

So. You can get smarter reading this book. You can also enjoy a tale that includes an alphahole (I also love made-up words), a dirty-talker (YES!) and so much intense suspense, you’ll be clutching your chest!

There are few books that affect me the way this one did. It’s a bit of a departure from the author’s usual work, and I’m loving this turn. It’s darker and the title, Deadly Obsession, only begins to describe the book. The synopsis tells so little about this book, and that’s a good thing. I guessed one surprise in the first fifth of the book, but everything after that was one thrilling surprise after another. By the end, I was smiling so hard, my cheeks hurt and I was hugging my Kindle. The biggest surprise was that I wanted to start all over and read it again immediately. The only other books I’ve felt that way about were the three Fifty Shades books.

This book will definitely be read repeatedly. I already know this. The next time, it will be as a read-aloud to my husband. In fact, we’re going to read the whole Victoria Paige library together.

I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review, but I also bought the book, because I believe in helping to support one of my top-three favorite authors financially. READ THIS BOOK.

Read again January 2016 aloud to hubby:

It is still a favorite and I loved it just as much reading it aloud. This was hubby’s favorite book from Victoria Paige’s library (so far…a little bird told me she is writing again!), and I think it’s my favorite, too. We have finished our journey through these delicious books. I know I’ll be back through again myself someday. Each one lends itself to multiple readings. Happy reading!

About Victoria Paige

Victoria Paige writes smart, edgy, seductive romance.

Her heroes are badass alpha males and her smart, strong-willed heroines can hold their own against a bossy hero. Her books are sexually explicit and may contain dark themes, morally ambiguous choices, and disturbing situations as she injects realism into her stories and gives them her own twist.

Victoria lives in Richmond, Virginia with her husband and playful German Shepherd Dog, Loki.
