Synopsis
Decklan Dare knows about the unexpected loss of loved ones and for this reason, he values control in all areas of his life. Amanda Collins enjoys the freedom she finds in casual encounters without the emotional connection a relationship brings. They meet and their physical attraction is mutual but both experience feelings that could run deeper – if they drop their guard and let each other in. Decklan is first to trust, but when he discovers the secret Amanda’s been hiding, will he forgive? Or will he rebuild every wall before she has a chance to explain?
My Review
This book had everything I want in a book!
Some tears, a little laughter, family, friends, fun, light BDSM, a sweet D/s relationship, HOT sex, drama, HOT sex with a hot cop, a gay best friend, HOT sex, and a hot cop. I think that about covers what I loved about this book.
Dare to Submit is fourth in the series. To prepare, I read the first three, but that isn’t necessary unless you want to. Each book stands alone. I love that some of the Dare family was included in the Invitation to Eden multi-author series for the third book in the Dare to Love series. The little subbie in me loves Dare to Submit most in the series so far. Yes, there will be more, and that gets a big YAY from me!
I just have to say before I go…I love how D/s and BDSM are presented in a lighter fashion in this book. Many of us in the lifestyle choose to tone down on the protocol, and keep the lifestyle in the bedroom. The couple in this book go to a BDSM club, but sometimes it’s just a meeting place, not for public play. My own reluctant Dom needs to read this book. I want to know what the inside of a club really is like. Thanks for the quick peek, Carly Phillips!
